Chapter 5: Navigation Six days had passed since the Challenger departed from Sailmark and Robin was no closer to trusting the people with whom he was working. But it did not matter, that's not why he was here. The only real comfort he found was knowing that the captain also did not trust Ghost. Robin stood on the deck, looking out towards the endless sea as the Challenger plowed through huge waves and heavy swells. During his entire time on this trip, he only interacted with Ghost when passing down orders to his men. He knew that Ghost had been true to his word many times, but with the terrorist's reputation, not to mention the mercenaries onboard, he had every reason to keep his guard up whenever he was near them. A female mercenary with long black hair ran up to Robin, catching his attention. “Sir, Ghost has requested your presence in navigation.” Speak of the devil. Robin sighed to himself before turning his attention back to the mercenary. “Thank you, I’ll be there right

Chapter 4: The S.S. Challenger Sailmark, a coastal city in Jumi renowned for being the center of trade in the entire kingdom. The marketplace was bustling with activity which made it difficult for Robin to properly make his way through the crowds to find the docks. “Where is his ship supposed to be?” An older frozlandian man bumped into him by accident as he tried to pass through the crowd. “Oh, pardon me sir.” “Excuse me.” Robin quickly glanced at him and realized that the man was a Unity, and not only that-he was one of the superiors of the jumian division. The Unity then turned towards him and squinted his eyes. “Say… are you a Unity by any chance?” Robin could feel sweat running down the side of his face. “Uh… no, I’m sorry, I think you’re mistaking me for someone else.” “Oh. Right. Of course.” Robin continued to make his way through the crowd, but the Unity continued to watch him as if he truly recognized him. “It has to be him…” Robin finally arrived at the docks,

Chapter 3: The Map The morning sun peered through the hotel room window, waking Robin up to the new day. But he felt too tired to gain any motivation, so he closed his eyes again and sank back into the comfort of his sheets, hoping to get some more sleep. He glanced at the clock and saw that it was already noon. Realizing that he was not going to get any more sleep, he rose from the bed and made his way to the miniature fridge and took out an unfinished soda can from the previous night. Bountiful was a sleepy town on the south end of Robin’s home kingdom Mara. The town itself was mostly quiet when there was not a local festival or a national holiday going on. The bigger cities farther up north where the castle resided gained more attraction from tourism. Despite its small size, the town was well known locally for its beaches and the reef that the town was named after which drew in its own fair share of tourism for that alone. Robin walked down the sidewalk lined with palm

Chapter 2: The Flaversham’s I was alone in a world not like my own, a complete stranger with no one else to turn too, and nowhere else to go. I remember those eyes judging me by my appearance, the fear of the unknown was natural, because my world would’ve felt the same. Nobody would help somebody like me, those eyes were quick to judge about my appearance. But if they had words...they would’ve hurt me. If they had sticks or stones, they probably would’ve hurt my bones. I learned that life can be cruel, no one will ever treat you nice, no one will ever help you when life gets you down. But I also learned that not everything is true. When life kicks you to the curve, someone with a kind hearted nature can pick you up. The eyes of that “someone” don’t judge you for what you are, but who you are. And whenever you feel like you're alone, you're not really alone, because when things get tough, I know that I have friends watching out for me. --- June 14, 1897 11:00 p.m. “Daddy, come

Chapter 1: Turning Back The Hands of Time My mother always told me to find my own path in this world. However, the choices I make can affect those around me. But as push comes to shove, the future isn’t written in stone, but we each make our own destiny. But how does destiny work? Can fate change at the hands of time itself, or does it work in the past, present...or future? But I guess, fate is like a clock, slowly ticking away until all the hands reach towards the top, and then an unknown destiny comes at you when you least expect it...or maybe in the most unexpected ways. But about a year ago, my fate was chosen, and a destiny had already begun for me… And it all began...with a ticking sound of a clock...and the hands of time that began to turn. --- One year ago… December 13, 2017 10:00 a.m. It was winter in California, the snow was raining down in the sky, but unfortunately, it didn’t stick. Once it landed on the ground it always melts, but if it was lucky enough, it might

Chapter 2: Treason The city of Thanas came to life as the night carried on. The rain has passed on, but clouds still drifted overhead, waiting to bring in another downpour over Jumi. Among the chaotic ambience of honking cars, pedestrians casually chatting amongst themselves, and distant trains echoing, Robin walked down the sidewalk deep within thought. His mood had not been getting any better since the mission. “Come on Robin, you should report this to HQ.” A figure popped out from a dark alleyway and stopped him in his tracks. Brittani stood before him with a look of worry on her face. “There you are. Thought you could leave the hotel without me noticing?” “Oh, Brittani. I’m just going for a walk.” Brittani grabbed both of his hands and looked up at him with concern in her eyes. “Honey, what’s the matter? You’ve been pretty moody ever since we got back from the mission.” “I’m sorry, I just have a lot on my mind right now.” “Did something happen?” Robin grabbed her

Chapter 1: Ghost Town Another slow Tuesday evening for the tour guide as she waited for the history video to end in boredom. As if things were not bad enough, she was still recovering from a tiring family reunion the other day. She mustered up a professional smile as she turned towards the guests. “Which brings us to the next part of our tour. If you will be so kind as to follow me our next exhibit is just right outside.” The crowd rose from their seats and followed the tour guide outside, entering a long hallway crowded with displays of large dinosaur fossils and the other guests staring up at them in awe. The hallway dedicated to ancient life was filled with reconstructed dinosaur skeletons, and the walls were painted with dinosaur murals. The museum itself was part of the Jumian palace, but it was a hotspot for tourists and locals alike, and most of the time the palace itself was reserved only for events like public trials, conferences, and board meetings. Despite the
